Chicago RAWards 2011 Semi-Finals Showcase

Thursday, November 17, 2011 @ 8:00PM
Evil Olive | 1551 W Division St | Chicago, IL 60622
21+ event. Cocktail attire. Tickets are $10 pre-sale, $15 week of, $20 at the door.

WHAT IS RAW:

RAW:natural born artists is an independent arts organization that hand-selects and spotlights independent creatives in visual art, film, fashion, music, hair & makeup artistry, photography, models and performing art.

RAW’s mission is to provide up-and-coming artists of all creative realms with the tools, resources and exposure needed to inspire and cultivate creativity so that they might be seen, heard and loved. RAW educates, connects and exposes emerging artists in 22 artistic communities nationwide through monthly showcase events.

RAWards 2011:

At the end of every RAW season, we host an annual indie arts award show, and we call it RAWards. All of our artists who have participated throughout the RAW season (February-October 2011) are eligible to compete for the title of best in their craft (Art, Fashion, Accessories, Music, Film, Photography, Performing Art, Hair & Makeup). Each artist is given the opportunity to compete for career-building prizes such as gallery placement, boutique placement, big consultations and RAW’s Golden Ticket.

Because we can’t pick our favorites (RAW loves all of our artists), we leave this in the hands of the nation, your community and our trusty professional panel of judges.

These are the nominees in your community. Help choose the artists who will represent your city in the nationwide finale! Live voting takes place at this event; come and show your support!

To learn more about RAWards, the judges, the prize packages, and to see ALL the nominees – please visit: www.RAWartists.org/rawards2011.
