Masquerade at the MCA — First Fridays. Come get dressy and check out all the really cool stuff the MCA has to share with us!
Happy hour takes on a new meaning with First Fridays at the Museum of Contemporary Art. Relax after work after a long work week with a cash bar featuring specialty drinks and free Wolfgang Puck appetizers.
Enjoy live music from local Djs, the world’s only iMac G5 dating bar, creation stations, and more. Each month features an up-and-coming Chicago artist in a preview of the latest UB 12×12.: New Artists/New Work exhibition. This month’s theme is MASQUERADE.
To Fully Participate in “Masquerade” we are encouraging participants to buy/decorate a mask prior to arriving at the event. (for ease in walking about at the function, it is recommended that your mask be of the variety that is on a stick which you can hold up to cover your features) There will be a contest judging the best designed/decorated mask. Don’t forget this is a wear a little black dress event, so women pick out one of your favorites, and gentlemen dress to impress!
Everyone who has attended past Lil’ Black Dress events has said they’ve had a wonderful time and the people who could not attend keep coming up to me and saying they’re kicking themselves for not being able to come… Don’t let this be you—don’t miss out! This event is being listed on several of my meetup groups and posted on eventbrite so that members can get a better idea of who will be attending and whether anyone is looking to carpool. This event usually brings out about 65 of our members.
