Lollapalooza 2011 – Hebru Brantley & Camelbac Keep You Hydrated

You’ve already dropped a lot of money on your Lolla tickets & you’re probably going to spend more money to buy souvenirs and food.  Don’t waste more money on keeping yourself hydrated.  Let CamelBak be your go-to source for personal hydration at the festival.  Camelbac will be providing free freshly filtered water at six strategically positioned hydration stations throughout Grant Park. So, we here at NYK encourage you to pack a reusable water bottle or hydration pack.  But, if by chance you forget, you can always spend a little more money and grab one of six limited edition CamelBak Better Bottles that were designed by Hebru Brantley, the Chicago artist who was commissioned to create the 20th anniversary Lollapalooza poster above.

If we haven’t convinced you yet, here are a few ‘Healthy Hydration Fast Facts’

*Every attendee should consume eight 8-ounce glasses of water each day. That’s 64 ounces x three days for a grand total of 192 ounces
*That means each concertgoer would need to purchase a dozen 16.9 ounce single-use disposable plastic bottles
*With an expected attendance of 270,000 over the three days, that means 3.24 million disposable water bottles could be purchased if there were no CamelBak Filling Stations
*Assuming a modest $5/bottle price tag, that represents a whopping $16.2 million savings if everyone brings a reusable water bottle and fills up at a CamelBak Hydration Station
